ScannX First to Launch Cloud-Based, Self-Service Scan-To-Fax Offering for Hotels, Airports, Libraries, Business Centers and Retail Locations

ScannX ScanCenter replaces copiers and fax machines with multi-function “scan-to” services

Pleasanton, CA, January 19, 2012 – ScannX Inc, a leading developer of cloud-based document capture and document delivery services, announced today that it will be demonstrating its cloud-based SCAN-TO-FAX service on its ScannX Book ScanCenter, in Booth #2124 at the American Library Association Conference in Dallas, Texas, on January 20 – 23, 2012. Attendees who come by the booth for a demo can also register to win an iPad 2.

The ScannX Book ScanCenter, the next generation in self-service scanning solutions, can scan and send book pages, documents, and photos to Email, USB, iPhone, iPad, Google Docs, and printer as well as to any fax number in the U.S., Europe, and Canada. The ScannX Book ScanCenter is the first such system to offer public and university libraries the opportunity to fax documents through its integrated cloud service, ScannX Cloud Services. It replaces both a copier and fax machine. Fax transmissions are confirmed back to the sender’s Email address.

“The benefit of our cloud-based scan-to-fax service is our broad range of features and pricing for users and companies – from single users, through small businesses and up to enterprise customers.”, said Murray Dennis, president and CEO of ScannX.” Regardless of your organization’s size, ScannX Cloud Fax services saves you time and money, increases productivity, and offers the convenience and range of enterprise-grade cloud fax service even to single users.”

ScannX can also configure its systems to work with self-service, high-speed document scanners for placement in hotels, airports, business centers, libraries, coffee shops and retail centers. ScannX Cloud Services can be integrated with debit/credit card payment systems for pay-per-fax transactions.

ScannX’ executive management team has over fifteen years’ experience in document imaging, developing book and document scanning solutions for Fortune 500 companies. However, with the emergence of widespread cloud computing services, ScannX saw an opportunity to bring ScannX Cloud Services to the self-service scan, copy and fax markets. The ScannX team proceeded to develop new software that leverages the very powerful cloud-based image processing, forms recognition, and workflow software that clients would find cost-prohibitive to run on a PC based system.

The ScannX ScanCenter includes a 15” touchscreen computer bundled with the ScannX Capture and Cloud Services, connected to a book or document scanner. The Book ScanCenter also offers an optional 45 page per minute automatic document feeder (ADF) for high-speed scanning of documents. All systems are covered by a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. Please visit www.ScannX.com for more information or drop by Booth 2124 for a demo, and to register for the opportunity to win an iPad 2.
