Self Service scanners are replacing copy machines in the library

As easy-to-use self-service scanners become commonplace in libraries across the country, the debate over the future of photocopiers is changing.  Once, digital scanners were seen as a convenient supplemental service, while the multi-function copy machine was the temperamental workhorse of the library.

Scanners in Public Schools: Equipping the NEXT Net Generation

There’s been a bit of discussion on what catchy name to assign to the generation that includes today’s high school and middle school students, who were born after the year 2000. Suggestions have included Generation Z, the iGeneration, Gen Tech, TwoKays, Screeners, Gen Net, and Digital Natives.
