Senior Sales Representative

Get in on the ground floor to launch ScannX’s game changing technology in multifunction printers. The ScannX MFP 1000 crops, straightens, and orients documents placed anywhere on the flatbed glass; uses  a 4K high resolution, easy to read   13.4”: touchscreen display; includes the award winning ScannX ScanPerfect software; offers cloud services such as faxing, translation and handwriting recognition services; and integrates with most major vending and print management solutions.

ScannX is seeking a Senior Sales Representative who is high energy, independent, self-motivated, results driven and customer focused. He/she will be a computer savvy, entrepreneurial sales professional, required to identify and develop the library and small business market for multifunction printers.

About the Role

Market the ScannX MFP into ScannX’s installed base of over 2500 library locations in the U.S., and expand ScannX’s reseller channel for copiers and MFPs into the small business market. ScannX sells direct and through reseller channels. Develop  new business by identifying and qualifying potential accounts; responding to incoming leads generated by our HubSpot platform, provide virtual demos via Webex and Microsoft Teams, and attend trade shows.

Present and sell the company’s multifunction printers and services to current and potential clients via web-based demonstrations.

  • Use a consultative sales approach to articulate the Company’s leading edge technology.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made. Make 60 telephone calls/emails per week to prospects and clients.
  • Identify and work with key decision makers in libraries and related associations.
  • Participate in marketing events such as trade shows and webinars
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity, acquired lists, trade shows and industry associations, and sales prospecting.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Use a CRM system to report sales activities including sales forecasts, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.

Field Service Technician

Livermore, California (Office-Based with Travel)

ScannX is a leading provider of library-focused digitization and archival imaging solutions, supporting public, academic, and special libraries with award-winning scanning software and hardware. We’re looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team and play a key role in both customer deployments and software QA testing.

About the Role

  • This is a hybrid technical position that blends field work with in-office collaboration. Travel starts at 10-20%, supporting customer installations, training, service visits, and trade shows
  • Within 3-6 months, if the candidate demonstrates a high level imaging expertise and mechanical aptitude, ScannX will pay for the candidate to be flown to Europe to be trained and certified on its high end archival systems.
  • Travel increases over time to 30-40% as product familiarity, expertise in Win Os, networking and communications standards, and emerging trends grow.
  • When not traveling, you’ll work closely with our QA and Engineering teams to
    test systems, validate releases, troubleshoot issues, and improve product quality.
  • This role is ideal for a hands-on systems engineer who enjoys working with hardware, Windows-based systems, and real-world customer environments.
  • Install, configure, and support ScannX scanning systems and Windows workstations remotely and at customer sites.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system health checks
  • Integrate systems into customer IT environments (networking, security, peripherals)
  • Provide on-site training and technical support to library staff and IT teams
  • Assist QA with system testing, issue reproduction, and release validation
  • Document installations, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
  • 3+ years of experience in field service installation and support of copiers, MFPs and /or archival imaging scanning systems
  • Strong Windows 10/11 and hardware troubleshooting skills
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NICs)
  • Comfortable working independently and directly with customers
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
  • Willingness to travel as the role evolves
  • Experience working with libraries, higher education, or public sector IT
  • Familiarity with scanning, imaging, or document management systems

Assembly Technician

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our team at our Livermore, CA office. In this hands-on role, you will assemble, test, and prepare Scannx multifunction equipment to meet our quality and performance standards. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in craftsmanship, and values consistency and accuracy.

Duties

  • Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical components according to documented procedures and work instructions. Keep assembly drawings and bill of materials documentation updated
  • Perform basic testing, inspection, and quality checks to ensure assemblies meet specifications
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and basic measuring equipment safely and effectively
  • Identify, document, and report assembly issues or defects to supervisors or engineering staff
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety, quality, and production guidelines
  • Assist with packaging and preparation of finished products for shipment when needed
  • High school diploma, trade school or college certification in computers, electro mechanical assemblies. 
  • 3+ year of experience in assembly, manufacturing, or a hands-on technical role 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Comfortable using hand tools and working with small components
  • Ability to stand, sit, and perform repetitive tasks during the workday
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Experience with light electronics, mechanical assemblies, or QA inspection
  • Familiarity with basic manufacturing documentation (work instructions, checklists,
    BOMs)
